水中钡的来源及处理
Source
Barium (Ba+2)is a naturally occurring alkaline earth metal found
primarily in the Midwest. Traces of the element are found in surface and ground
waters. It can also be found in oil and gas drilling muds, waste from coal fired
power plants, jet fuels, and automotive paints. Barium is highly toxic when its
soluble salts are ingested. The current MCL for Barium is 2.0 mg/l.
Treatment
Sodiumform cation exchange units (softeners) are very effective at removing
Barium. Reverse Osmosis is also extremely effective in its removal, as well as
Electrodialysis.
